Never stop trying to reach a goal
Yesterday Steve and I started back at day 1 of P90X. I wish I could say we had a good excuse for quitting after one month. We just never started back up once I got home from Spring Break in Michigan. We now have 62 days till we head to MI for our family vacation. That is roughly 9 weeks. (doing the math) that means at my normal rate of 2lbs per week, I should be able to shed 18 pounds by then.
I have managed to lose a few more pounds since spring break even though we were not P90Xing. (23 pounds total since Jan. 1) So I have exactly 30 pounds to get to the goal of 125. (doing more math) that means I should be at about 137 by the time we leave for Michigan if I stay on task. I think that’s around a size 7, which I could live with for sure!
Today Steve and I went shopping for bathing suits to lay out in the sun in. I bought this incredibly small thing that should NEVER EVER be worn in public, but the tan lines will be minimal. Steve REALLY likes it, I wonder why…lol. I figure it will fit better and better as the summer goes on, and hopefully I will be ABLE to wear it in public by the end of the summer. (we shall see)
So today we do our first round of plyometrics, which is the jumping cardio thing. My FAVORITE workout. Hopefully I don’t throw up, but if I do, it’s my own damned fault for quitting.
I guess it doesn’t matter if we reach our goals exactly when we wanted to, as long as we keep moving forward, we keep starting over if we lose track. Readjusting is perfectly acceptable, and doesn’t mean we’re failing. Failure only comes when you give up completely.
